These records were obtained by the non-profit activist group Reclaim The Records through a New York State Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request originally filed in January 2016 and completed seventeen months later in mid-2017. Prior to this, the records had only been available on microfiche at a small number of libraries in New York State, and had not been easily available to the general public. NOTA BENE: This is not an endorsement of a terminology, it reports that women in general were good workers in wartime industries to help defeat fascist enemies. It took almost another twenty years to correct many injustices to some based on color, sad to say! All of the people in the United States of America were needed to win that great war that raged in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. Please share this with others.
